“Well, it’s got that apple thingy on it, so that means it’s the best, right?” she had asked, pointing to the Mac logo.
I wanted to slap her upside the head right then and there, and warn her to run, run very far away from anything having to do with that impersonal brand of technology. My douche bag-of-a-manager, Donny, shot me a warning glace from behind his hipster glasses, the next aisle over, and I looked back at the hunter’s wife, smiled fake, and said, “Yep, you’ll never have any problems with that one. It can’t get viruses.” If I was in a movie, I would have turned around to face Donny and given him a dramatic thumbs up, and the cheesy comedy sound effect would ensue, and maybe even an After Effects sparkle would appear next to my Colgate smile… -
